Apologies if this has been posted already or if Im stepping on any toes but this is too incredible not to post.

Paul Cobane in bought a building at tax sale in Princeton, Ilinois. When he opened the doors he found 15 Classic Broncos and more parts than you can imagine.

This is what Paul posted on facebook:

Estimated it would take 3-4 weeks to empty the building. 400+ man hours to empty the garage A lot of parts NIB. The Broncos are rough. Estimated 6-8 restorable. The parts must be removed before any of the Broncos can be moved. Will sell all the parts as a unit. Or all the parts and all the broncos together. No parting out of either. In north central Illinois. Serious inquiries call. 815-878-2658.

There’s been no one in the building since very early 2000’s. Building is 2800 sq ft. It was sold at a tax sale in South Carolina. I bought the building as is. Contents from them. No one had any idea the building was full. I have no titles. Vin numbers are written on the windows. We haven’t been able to get into any of the Broncos because of the enormous amount of parts covering them. 90% of the contents of the building is ford/bronco parts. For all the ford broncos and parts it’s $65,000. I will not part out

It's been out there for a while.
The issue is that he has NO TITLES for any of the vehicles. So depending on how your state goes about getting titles; you may run into more issues than this solves.

Selling off all those for parts? Yeah, you'll make some money, but how long and how much?

Talk about a project for an old bronco guru who's retired and wants to piddle with bronco parts. Find a bunch of high school kids looking for service hours to volunteer and get after it. Lot's of hours of moving, sorting and hauling there.

How long ago? Is there another thread on this?

Bonded titles are $50 each vehicle here in AZ and its a very simple process.

He needs to find a few guys to split this with. Or let a vendor come in and run a a swap meet to get rid of a bulk of parts

I'd be interested in knowing where in SC this is?!?!?
The property is in Princeton, Illinois

Without titles this is worth about $15k IMO.
There's gotta be at least $40K in repairable Broncos in there. I dont think there are any uncut ones though. Hard to tell

Has anyone been there?

Oh I was wrong. He wants $65K for the Broncos/parts and $80K for everything else. He needs to hire some help to get in there and see exactly what he's got. It sounds like there are 20+ motors. I wonder who owned this collection and what the story was

There’s several people working on offers but the manpower and hrs it would take to remove everything has overwhelmed most as they are 15-20 hrs away. I’ve told everyone that we could work something out for enough time to remove everything. I have not had quality offers on everything. Everyone wants the broncos. The problem with that is none can be removed until the parts are removed and the parts are overwhelming. I set the price as $65,000 for all the broncos and Ford parts. $80,000 for the contents of the building. There’s 3 Chevy trucks. A dodge truck. And misc tools and Chevy/dodge parts

I trolled the nation twice a day via craigslist aggregators looking for another project for about a year.

It popped up a few times. He’s always got the same story and the video you linked always shot in July. I think the original ad was before that and just said ‘warehouse of broncos’ and a price.

FL does not like to issue titles easily and if you have to go salvage route, it’s a three year wait to clear. So it was never a possibility for me.

I spoke with the owner of Gateway Broncos who sent me the video link above that I posted in the thread on Facebook.

He said it was all heavily rusted and only one Bronco was restorable for him.

He estimated 450 man-hours to get it all to St. Louis, just not worth it to him and he loves to spend money, so that price was not the factor.
