Can anybody share pictures of 33x12.5 tires on 15x8" or 15x8.5" rims?

It's time to buy new tires and maybe even some rims and trying to decide what exactly to do. 12.5" tire seems like a bit of a stretch on an 8.5" wheel.

No stretch at all, perfect fit. Tires will bulge just enuf to protect the rims from scraping and the biggie is the tires will stay on the bead better at low air pressure for wheeling.

X2, My rims are 15x8". I have 35's, but the width is the same. I run my pressure down to 10psi, no issues yet about losing a bead. They bulge for sure, but I have quite a bit of rock rash now.

The orange bronco is a 2.5"lift with the 33 x 12.5 x 15" Procomp Mts on the 15" x 8" rims I belive they were Procomp rims too. It is an older Duff lift no body lift. Truck sits real nice and no rubing I think if I wheeled the truck it may rub a little.

Nice looking, rig. I like how the tires are tucked under the fenders and flares. It seems you don't see that on 12.5s very often. What kind of backspacing and offset do you have on those wheels?

thanks Matt, don't remember to be honest. they were Craig's list specials. I actually run 1/2" spacers on the front due to the inverted Y steering linkage....

I am running Krawler 35x13.5x15 on a 15x8 no problem. I ran them at 6-8psi in Moab at Bronco Safari with no problem.

Awesome pictures. Thanks, guys.

I've been running 31x10.5x15's for a long time. They're old tires--actually measure only 29.5" tall after the whee/tire was taken off the axle. I want to fill the fender wells--it's got an old school James Duff 2" (or was it 2.5"?) suspension lift. So, drop the lift or buy bigger tires.

It's primarily driven on the street, but I'd like to do a little more off-roading and snow driving in the future.

Here are the only pics I have of them. The spare is a 35x12.5 on a 15x7 rim.

Always make sure your lug nuts are tight.

12.5" tire seems like a bit of a stretch on an 8.5" wheel.

Like they all said, nope, not a problem.
In fact, there are two hands-on things you can do to satisfy your curiosity about that too. One is to literally measure an un-mounted tire. I'd be willing to bet that the bead-to-bead measurement (where the tire will actually be touching the rim) is even less than 8" on a 12.50 tire. So the tire will probably have to stretch outward under the air pressure to match even the minimum width of that wheel.
Second is to check out the manufacturers tech info. Most list either an 8, or 8.5 inch (sometimes 9") wide rim as compatible with their 12.50 tires.
