I'm pretty good at breaking things and it was inevitable that I was going to do some damage during this frame-off, well I finally have my first casualty. While trying to get the seal out of the front drive flange I put it in the press and pressed the wrong spot. Thought this lip was part of the seal, and snapped the edge off. The seal mounting surface is fine and I'm not sure the damage deems it unusable but would like y'alls opinion. First pics are damage, 3&4 after I cleaned it up with die grinder.

It appears this lip is there to direct oil?

I'd run it. Usually the ears break off those retainers.
