Gorilla Warflare's mounted up to body line...rear fitment problem

I am mounting my Gorilla Warfare's up at the body line and it raises the small step at the rear quarter panel a few inches too high. How are you all remedying that? Obviously I could deform the fender with screws and heat but it tweaked the fender a little and would annoy me. Could put in a little filler of some sort. I am actually thinking of just building some custom flares out of metal but that would be some serious fabrication time. Looking for suggestions.

I just mounted the flare as is. If your mounting up at the body line and stretching em for clearance they won't properly reach the bottom either. Once it's all muddy nobody will notice anyway.

Ahh, I understand now...saying you wanted to mount it higher than that and figuring out what to do.

What about a little heat on the flare? Don't wanna mess it up, but little by little with some soft clamps is what I would do.

Heat doesn't cure it. I had to use screws above, below and on the actual contour of the flare itself.

Also, the "legs" of the flare aren't nearly long enough when mounted on the body line to even come close to extending down to the bottom of the qtr panel- in front of the tire or behind it. I cut my rockers and the Gorilla flares don't come anywhere close to the top of my rock ski either. Behind the tire it won't come close. I've got a side pic.

When looking at my pic you'll notice the top of my flare is above the body line but you can see that the bottom of my flare wouldn't be where you want it even if the very top of my flare was even with the body line.

Zoom in.
My rear bumper is two inches higher than stock, plus the lower fender has had about 8" cut off.
