KbarS Speedometer Glass

Been driving my bronco regularly and almost forgot about this nice speedometer glass that was purchased from KbarS around 1997. Most of my EB's early restoration parts and mods came from there.

Not sure if other vendors supply something similar or maybe an opportunity for others to pursue.

I worked at KbarS for a month as a summer hire in high school before they moved the shop to North Las Vegas. Not sure if Ken is on here but he and his family were nice folks.

That's a flashback. Made it to the old shop once, new shop once.

I've never seen etched speedometer glass before. These days it wouldn't be a hard thing to do. Print some vinyl stickers for templates and I am sure there are online places to get etching kits.

Is that etched on the inside or the outside?

I'm actually looking for KbarS parts right now so if anyone has any they'd sell I'm interested. Or anything from there actually.

I'd pay good money for a speedo glass like that! Way cool!

That's a neat piece Jed. Thanks for showing that because I have not seen that before. I guess it wasn't listed in their catalog and maybe was only available to employees!;D;D;D

I don't think they actually sold those, however Patti gave a few away. My Bronco has one as well.

They gave me one when I visited their shop in 1992.
Can’t find it now.
