Mustang 65-67 Seat Headrests fit 76 Bronco?

Hi

I'm trying to get an imported fully stock 76 Bronco registered in Australia. They have crazy rules here on compliance. I have stock seats with no headrests. If I don't have headrests I can't register the car at all.

I believe the 65-67 headrests for the Mustang seats will fit. Can anyone confirm this?

Link to them -> http://www.cjponyparts.com/headrest-pair-1965-1967/p/HR-V/

Thanks in advance.

Late 80s and early mustang seats bolt in if you don't need to use original seats

Both bronco seats are listed in ford shop manuals as mustang drivers seats

Here is the link showing my stock seats with headrests. My headrests came from a 69 mustang and bolt right in.

Headrests as late as 93 will work. Don't know about others though. All the mounts are the same. I have 83 netted mustang headsets on mine

Got '68s out of a Mustang about 30 yrs. ago. The upholstery shop that specialized in early Mustang restorations told me the seat frame is the same so I went to the junk yard and got a pair. They put new parchment covers on them and cut the holes in the seat's vinyl. The rests look like they belong there. The passenger side still folds up against the dash. The originals look like hank's not like those referenced by cjponyparts. Get the Ford head rests. They simply slide right in. They also look better.

Hank, can you install them by just popping the back panel off the seat and cutting the vinyl on top or is more surgery required to mount the bracket? Also, does the headrest slide up and down on the bracket? If so, what's length from top of bottom seat cushion to top of fully extended head rest? (Wife complaining about safety of not having head rests, among other things, like gas smell, me not being the man she married, etc.)

You can do it by just popping the the back off. That's what I did on mine. They do adjust up and down if you wish. Good luck on the project.
