I'm getting started on a 68 Bronco project with my son and we are going back to uncut quarters. I was thinking it would be cool to build 2x4 or 2x6 square tube rockers but I'm having second thoughts because we are going uncut. I have been looking for photos but I'm not finding anything. Someone has to have done this before.

I hope you get some good pics. I think 2x6 square tube looks the best.

I went a different route. My buddy has a plasma table and CNC press brake, so we make our own "2x6" sliders out of 3/16" plate that are internally gusseted and are angled in.

Used 2x6 tube. Have some pictures somewhere of part of the process of making them. Let me know if you have any questions.

Also Zillacon (lubezilla) has some on his (once upon a time) LUBR. Look on the LUBR thread where he's crushing the cars.

Yes, that's the guy. Wheels it hard. He did they technique of replacing the rocker and gaining a bit of clearance while zilla added his to the bottom of the uncut rockers. Think his doubled as an air tank too.
