This came up for sale near me for $1500. Didn't know they had a U153.
Is it anything special?
It has the wrong transfer in it and its pretty rough.
Don't know the details. It has the Original Louisiana title from the first owner.

U153 was 4450 lb GVWR. It was new for '74 and was the minimum GVWR to get a factory installed rear seat. It probably included the medium duty rear axle (10" brake, large bearing) but the B9 rear axle code says it has the HD axle (11" brake, big bearing). The HD axle was optional on U151 and U153. U152 required the HD axle.

Front axle code 8 is limited slip without power steering.

That thing is a peach to us rust belt folk. I would easily pay $1500 for it up here.

Yeah that's rough. Can't imagine what the PO's did to the frame welding the freight train bumper to it.
