• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

1sicbronconut sent along this link to some of us this morning.

Mark Rose was a staffer at Off Road Magazine in the early '90s and this Bronco was featured in a series of monthly articles at that time. The truck was pretty cutting edge at the time (1993-1994'ish) and in the pre-internet era, we waited eagerly each month for the next installment. This truck was one of the first with a Vintage Broncos long travel suspension(the now ubiquitous 10 leaf packs in the rear and variable rate coils and shock hoops up front) along with a lot of other neat features for the time.

Tragically, Mark died (I believe he was killed in a traffic accident) before the truck was completed and I was always curious where the truck ended up. Twenty years later, here it is.

Sharp Bronco.

Mark Rose was the Advertising Director at Off Road Magazine and was well respected. He was killed in an off road racing accident at Crandon, WI during a race while in a race truck. I was hired and took over for him as the Ad Director several months after his untimely death. This truck is a true collectors item as it was used by the magazine to showcase what was indeed cutting edge technology at the time. I hope it goes to a deserving owner who will not hack it up and will respect what it is. Nice catch Todd, hope to see it out sometime on the trails or at Fab Fords Forever etc. MV

Well, at least he went doing what he loved to do and was having fun while doing it. I can only hope that I go out the same way, having fun etc.

FYI, since the truck is no longer for sale, I started a more appropriate thread in the discussion section of the forum :)
