Question about selling a Bronco tub

I have a really dumb question but thought I would see how others would approach this. I have a 74 Bronco that I am taking down to the frame and went back and forth on the repair vs. replace decision with the existing tub. After doing the cost benefit on buying a welder/tools etc and having limited space I have put a new aftermarket tub on order and going to sell my tub to somebody that has the know how, tools, willingness to rebuild. I have a bit of a wait until the new tub is ready so thought I would use the time to work on frame and driveline.

So what is the best way to go about selling the tub? Would you build a cart, pull the body using a cherry picker, and post it for sale that way...or post it as it sits on the frame and hope the buyer has a lift and possibly haul it to them to pull, or build a cart and pull it myself at that point?

All the body mounts are out and doors are off so it's time to decide one way or the other.

Also what range do body tubs sell for at this point? I know the obvious answer is it ranges , and it's a project, but looking for a general ballpark idea.

It will be easier to sell if it is off the frame and on some kind of cart or support.
Condition really is the driver of the price and how complete the tub is. The less rust the higher the price. I have seen tubs in the last few years from $1,000 to $10,000. All depends on the rust! With that being said even rusty tubs seem to find new homes pretty easy lots of guys just cut them up and use them for crawlers or buggies.

I've sold two bare used tubs over the years. Both were pulled and sitting on furniture dollies on my driveway when the buyers came to pick them up.

One had some rust issues, and it sold for $1,500.

The other was rust free but dented and dinged from being taken off road over the years. That one sold for $2,400.

I got a tub in a trade for a set of wheels. Tub came in from neighbor island and had to be shipped. Got it on pallets which worked fine. rented a uhaul to load it on to get it home. rigger ratchet straps 4 corners to overhead and got tub off uhaul and built casters holders under it. I also use it as my top dolly to move and store it.

Ha...that is awesome.

Will likely build a cart of some sort and just do it the right way...just balancing the amount of money/time expended vs amount recovered from sale.

brace the door openings before removal. when I bought a used tub I brought a flat bed trailer and a friend and the seller and his brother helped us lift the tub and put it on the trailer. no cart no wheels just 4 adults. if you have 3 fair sized guys you can do it with 3. it isnt as heavy as it is awkward. at home by myself I move it around with a cheery picker since I have one. rust is a problem as most areas in the Bronco is structural. the only rust the tub I bought was the foot wells under the rubber mat. Most people taking on a project like this can figure out how to move it. the more money you spend on the old tub is less money to spend on your own project.
