Does your radiator still have the traditional layout with the inlet on the driver's side and the outlet on the passenger side, or has it been replaced with a version like the one used in Explorers which has the reverse outlet configuration?I am seeing mustang hoses will work for my explorer serpentine? if so, what year? If not, what hoses? Champion radiator and explorer pump.
It has reversed inlet outlet for explorerDoes your radiator still have the traditional layout with the inlet on the driver's side and the outlet on the passenger side, or has it been replaced with a version like the one used in Explorers which has the reverse outlet configuration?
Generally for the top hose it is from 87-93 Fox body. Unsure about the bottom. It has reversed inlet outlet for explorer
Agree 110%. Going thru it now to see what hoses I am going to order. This thread is great…keep it up! Let’s give people options! Wish I had this when I was trying to figure it out.
Where did you get that shroud?I have the explorer serp and the champion radiator here are the hoses I used:
Upper Hose: 1986-1990 bronco II 2.9L with Manual Transmission LOWER radiator hose, NAPA NBH 8427, GATES 21736, DAYCO C71280.
Lower Hose - Dayco Molded Radiator Hoses 70778
As I remember both hoses took a bit of trimming but ended up fitting pretty good, I hope this helps.
Where did you get that shroud?
The one champion has is for an electric fan, so I don’t think it is a champion. It could be the one WH's sells, I have used them on my Explorer builds. There is a stock one and one for a 2" body limit... If that is what he used?
