Seats, Tom’s vs. Wild Horses (Cabello) experience?

I am starting to shop for new front seats. I have never seen either of these seats in person. Has anyone sat in both of these options? Which do you like better, and why? Thanks.

swmrdrn, what did you not like about the older Tom's seats? Comfort, quality, fit and finish, etc.?

I have a set of Tom's seats in Clifford. Not the diamond stitch ones, the straight up and down finish.
I feel like I got a great deal on them last year at their Rock and Roll 2025 event. They (Drvr, Pass, Rear seat) were returned as the Pass seat had a minor Blemish down low. (You can't see it unless you know where it is.)
I don't have a lot of long distance seat time yet, They definitely make you sit low, at 6' 4" I am not staring at the top cross bar of the windshield frame. There is some light bolstering and I do need to get positioned correctly. Longest drive I did was about 35 minutes, and that was fine. But, I wonder how they will feel after an hour or two in them.
I will admit that as I approach that Medicare age, I can't sit for hours on end in the driver's seat because my hips and bladder get uncomfortable, if you know what I mean. (If not, you will when you get to that age)

Going with Corbeaus for my bronco but going with Wild Horses Caballo black pleated in my 68 Cougar. The vegan leather feels better then the previous generation of vinyl seats, seems more durable. And cant pass up the lumbar support! Adding heaters to them as well, an option that was just added.

I have a set of Tom's in the Bronco with no complaints. I am still at pretty low miles so no idea how they will be break in over time or if they remain pretty much the same. Just firm enough, not too squishy, and the bolsters hug nicely.

I have the toms seats here. my bronco is a family cruiser. lots of bolster support, but if you are on the wider/bigger side this may not be favorable. My only complaint is that i wish there felt a little more solid. My previous seats were from a 06 Mustang and i loved the OEM feel of them. I may eventually go back to something like that, but the Toms seats look great.

I just didn't find them very comfortable. They have zero lateral support and poor lumbar support. They looked good but didn't fit me all that great. I'll admit that I am spoiled so others might find them acceptable.

1/2 way to everywhere
I've installed the WH seats and have had the opportunity to have a couple of hour+ drives in them. Being new they are a little firmer than I expected them to be. But I think that they will be fine after some more butt time. I've also compared the Tom's to the WH mounting. The WH seats and mounting have to be the lowest available and are comfortable. I personally would like the front of the seat up a little bit more. Tom's mounting brackets look to raise the seat up maybe 1/2" in the back but also have the front of the seat raised even a little bit more. Helping a buddy that has them but not installed yet.

I have the bestop copies that I bought probably 20 years ago and like them. Some comments are not wrong in wishing I had more padding in the bottom for long trips. An hour or two isn't terrible but I used to drive mine 4-7 hours and wouldn't them uncomfortable. Bolsters held up well.

I actually had them recovered a few years ago and had the upholster add 1" of memory foam and seat heaters which will make a huge improvement.

I do really appreciate them placing the driver so low in the bronco, I am 6" and really don't have issues with seeing stop lights like I did with the stockers or other aftermarket seats I tried.

I would them an 8 out of 10, 10 being perfect.

I'm obviously a bit biased, but I can share some context on why we designed our seats the way we did.

We developed them to address a few areas where we felt there was room for improvement based on our own experience with similar options. Our bolsters are more contoured to comfortably fit a wider range of body types, and we've heard especially positive feedback from customers who found other seats a bit too narrow.

We also added adjustable lumbar support, which makes a noticeable difference on longer drives. Another change was removing the raised rear seat "bump," allowing your lower back to sit more naturally against the lumbar support for improved comfort over extended periods.

At the end of the day, seat comfort is personal, but these are some of the design choices that have resonated most with our customers.

I’ve sat and driven both, I prefer the WH seats. To me they have a much better feel.

Since @Garrett is watching I’ll plug they need a thin back and headrest version for classic standard cab pickups, I know you’d sell one set for sure😉 I’d be in line for a preorder

Just got the seats from Tom’s. There very comfortable but as someone else said, If your a bigger guy the side bolsters might be uncomfortable. The brackets measure 16in but my original pass seat measured 17 in. So I had to drill few holes. They seem sturdy and well built.

I have a set of WH seats. changing over from a set of pro car seats (well worn), I'll say so far I prefer the pro car's. I certainly like the pro car mounts better. they were very easy to take in and out. As for the WH seats, they are a bit stiff, but hey...they're new. I do like the lumbar adjust, but wish you could switch which side the knob goes on. I had to swap the driver/passenger seats in order to clear my cage when reclining the seats. As for the material, I am very disappointed in the durability. My passenger seat already has chunks of material missing, and I try to be very careful. If you're rough on your seats, I might go with another option for that reason, otherwise they are nice. side support is good, despite a bit of stiffness from being new, I've done several 2-3 hour drives without complaint.

Any photos of them installed and the durability issue? Was thinking of going with these over the Toms seats.

Do you offer skin kits? I have the early Toms seats.

These are BMW E35 seats. Power and Lumbar. They are covered with marine grade vinyl. 6 years old now and holding up well. The convertible of the same era have integrated seat belts. Very low profile, less than 8 inches.
