Rusted through

My rusted floor board from that rubber floor mat trapping moisture for 41 years.
There was a hole rusted through under the gas pedal about 3 3/4" long by 1" from the water under the rubber mat . I sanded (ground) down the floor boards and coated them with POR 15, I painted the hole liberal
