Yep. That's a whole lot better than being Patient Zero!
If they work fine, I'll install them in the second Dana 20 video. Link to the first one is below.
Hi Jason - I am in a bit of a hurry; need these so I can continue with the rebuild. Anyway, I just got off the phone with Frank. He wasn't able to pull them up, so he wasn't able to sell me a pair. He didn't have a price either; if you know how much they will cost can you please let me know...
I'm in the middle of a rebuild on my 1969 T-shift Dana 20 and realized my shift rails are boogered up. I tore down one of my spare t-cases and the shift rails in that are worse.
I don't want to go twin stick, but that's all that's out there that I can find on shift rails. Anyone know where I...
Disassembled one of my spare T-shift Dana 20's today (I needed some decent shift rails; no luck) and looky what I found! An actual snap ring instead of the lock ring!
It was .050" so it was too thin. The original lock ring is .065".

Must have pressed the bearing off and on about half a dozen times on the Dana 20 trying to get the preload right. Ended up with 4 inch pounds, right in the middle of the spec.
Cleaned up the gear that needed a bit of work.
And then I had to tear down one of my spare Dana 20's looking for good shift rails.
And those turned out to be junk, too.
But two of the gears in the spare t-case were better than the ones in the one I'm rebuilding, so I'll use those.
Haven't heard of him. I found Bad Shoe, but he doesn't have any transfer case rebuild videos.
I'm using the service manual and following a few YouTube videos.
Thanks
