A 190 thermostat basically guarantees that the cooling system will exceed 212 which means that there is pressure in the cooling system. A 12lb. cap holds it in.

Those look really interesting but I'm having trouble picturing it in my mind. It looks like the gates clamps hold the brackets to the header and the bolt holds the heat shield to the clamp? Is there enough room for effective heat deflection? Thanks, JB
