Totally agreed, I'd be pretty upset if I paid 6 figures for something my state won't register. I get what you mean on the your side too, its the double edged sword of 50+ year old vehicles!
Just another piece of info for anyone reading this thread, I wanted to clarify a few things. The only bulletproof legal way to do this is to buy a matching frame with VIN, title, and glovebox door. If you have title and frame, the glovebox is pretty easy to get. If you have title and glovebox...
Agreed. Some states may let it slide with a TDK frame or something like that, but I wouldn't chance it. Best to have a frame and title at the least, glovebox tags and door tags can be made by Marti if needed.
