RIP T-Bird (update from his son)

It's with a heavy heart that I (Reid Akins), share the news of the passing of my father, Terry Akins (T-Bird). As some of you may know, Terry had a heart transplant 17 years ago and was added back to the organ transplant list this time last year for a second heart transplant, as well as a...

    SOLD '66 Roadster Soft-Top Hardware

Wow, good buy! I have been looking for awhile now for some of these pieces. They don’t show up very often, most of them get thrown away :(

TN August 65 170 engine tag

Thanks for posting Bobby. It also shows a 16-S engine code as both of mine. All 3 are very close on numbers. I’m still curious if 16-S is designated to just Broncos.

OH Two factory bulkhead delete screws

Following, I’m in the process of doing this also. I removed the bulkhead in my roadster and added a rear seat. I’m in the process of putting in new floor boards, so I’m a ways away from needing these screws.

TN August 65 170 engine tag

The Engine tags have a code on the bottom right. Both of mine have 16-S. I cannot find anything pertaining to these numbers, only they are listed as a engine code. I’m thinking that 16-S maybe stamped to go into Broncos. Check yours and see what the number is.

TN August 65 170 engine tag

Thanks Bobby, I was thinking about going that route, but wanted to throw it out there for an original one first. The one pictured is off my roadster, but my halfcab is scratched and beat to heck. Since both are consecutive VIN numbers I want to keep them both all original as much as possible.

Feeler - WTB: 1966 Bronco (I need help)

If you have pictures please post them. It is hard to make an honest estimate or comment on just a description. I've seen many listed with just about the same build and prices can be in the teens to the 50K mark. I hope it is local to you and you can have it looked at by a mechanic and a...

Earliest Broncos known to exist (1-30)!!

Top notch restoration! I can only dream mine will look as good as this one day. I am debating the same Jeff. Would you use the repop wheel that TBP sells? Who would you use to restore the original?
