So I noticed something. When the top is off of my bronco the windshield sits too far back and hits the door frame. If I want to run with the top off what are you guys doing about that or am I the only one that has that has that problem. If I want to run a bikini top do I have to do something special about that?? Thanks for the help.

As is pointed out seemingly in every roll-over thread, our broncos are severely lacking in support above the fenders (even with the hard top on).

A bikini top will pull the windshield rearwards, exacerbating your problem. The rear of the bikini top is typically supported by a rollbar, but I didn't see one in your garage photos.

If you add a rollbar or rollcage (and you should for safety), bar to windshield braces are available. https://bcbroncos.com/shop/interior...overs/75-00122-windshield-stiffeners-long-36/

Different kinds of supports have been added to rollcages with a bar near the windshield. You may want to try the search function ("windshield brace" or bracing). Example: https://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=295852&highlight=windshield+brace

The door frames were probably part of the thought process of keeping it in place from the factory engineers with the top off

Yes I will have a roll bar. So I guess I will have to run those braces with a bikini top. With out that the windshield frame hits the door window frame.

I think your problem is a lack of the seal that fits inside the hinge. Here's what they look like.https://shop.broncograveyard.com/19...indshield-Frame-Hinge-Seal/productinfo/16014/. Even my '68 seal held the windshield frame up in the same position or angle as when the top was on. The seal itself is good enough to reuse.
I agree, I never needed anything to keep the windshield in the right place for the doors, and I ran for years before getting rid of the doors!

I have the gasket. I will install it once it comes back to me from paint. I just noticed it when we were getting things lined up. If you guys say it will be ok then I will take your word. We will see once I get it back.
