Gas shocks for the hood. Not a performance thing but I love'em.
Just lift the hood about a foot and they do the rest.

Also got a set of diamond plated rail caps for the bed of the half cab. Not installed yet, but hopefully this weekend.

Thanks, The color is a 2002 Ford Bright Island Blue and the utility box was with the Bronco when I bought it. Only bummer is, if I upgrade to power assist brakes I'll lose the box. It dose come in handy. I fill it with tools and rags.

hood shocks are great. Not only do they keep you from getting your head busted open when you are working under the hood but they can also save your hood if you forget to latch it down. I know from experience.;) ;D

That is one of the best looking half cabs I have ever seen !

I would love to see some more pics and details on this rig and after all, you did say you wouldn't turn down a request to post further.

So put some more out here and be proud, because you deserve it and there are bunches here that will appreciate it.

Sweet looking rig. A guy I wheel with has a roll bar on his half cab that I thought was nice. You can't see it in the pic below but the downbars of the main hoop kick forward to follow the line of the bulkhead. I'll find out where he got it if you want, or you can give a shout out for Tim Solberg over on the So Cal list.

Thanks guys, Thats exactly the kind of rollbar I'm looking for. I'll have to contact Tim so I can ask him a few questions.

I've got a few more pics at

http://home.socal.rr.com/rjsplace/bronco1.jpg

I'm in the process of doing a web page about the whole rebuild from start to finish. Right now I only have PageMill and I'm looking for a better web page publisher. I'll post a thread when it's done.

Thanks!

Thanks, the tires are BF Goodrich All-Terrain 33X12.5 on a 2 1/2" lift.

The shock kit I got from BC Broncos. Good price, Friendy people and fast shipping.

Hey 72

Great job on the hood shocks. Love mine too.
One suggestion....flip the shocks over. Reinstall them with the body on top and the rod on the bottom. This keeps the oil on the seals for longer life and better operation.

Thanks Ponch, I was wondering about that. It didn't say anything about witch way to install them in the instructions.........

Brutis, It kind if hard to say how much I've got invested, I bought and sold a couple of broncos to help support my habbit. Scalped part, parted out, resold and so on.........afters all said and done I'd guess Ive got between 5 and 10 grand. (just a guess)
