Side Steps

Pretty much read everything I could find on steps for the Broncos. Most are a combo rock slider/step setup. There are the powered AMP electric steps that are very pricey. Was wondering about one of those single 10" steps with some modification to bolt it to the frame. Not sure.

Any other step options that anyone has come up with. I have the aux tank and would like to keep it.

I had the rock sliders from WH. They drop the step up ~3-4" which is a big help getting in as well as dealing with the soft / hard top.

Are you looking for the steps that bolt onto the frame? I think some of the vendors in here have steps like that. Plus, I'm sure you can walk into any big box, maybe small box, 4x4 shop and get something out of a catalog. Best of luck in your search.

I just put the AMP steps on. They're amazing, but definitely not for anyone that does heavy off-roading. I wouldn't treat them like a rocker bar, but they're amazing as a road use / dress up item.

Functionally, they really help getting in/out as well. No regerts!

I don’t believe the AMP steps work with the aux tank, correct?

No wheeling, no rocks, just to help us get up in the seat.

I would love the auto strps but already have new original style fuel tank and original style aux tank that were not cheap to replace. Also have the fuel switch already plumbed into the lines. So really want to keep the aux tank and from what I see, the auto steps cannot be used with aux tanks. Thoughts?

Also need side steps on our '67 Bronco that we are restoring. It has a 4" body lift with 37's so not simple to get into. Looking for options and here are two that I am considering, anyone have these? Do the nerf bars help that much on a tall Bronco? Thinking I need something lower.

I had these, but don't remember the brand. The angle/height was adjustable and they attached to the rocker. But they also had brackets that extended to the frame for weight support. I never permanently attached them to the frame, but it could be done, I suppose. I also think they were a universal fit. This was likely done well over 10 years ago, so they may no longer exist, but they worked perfectly for my 'height challenged' wife.

I think those are the Bully brand. They look nice. I see that they can be rotated to lower or higher. I dont see how they can mount clear into the frame, and becasue I have the aux gas tank I do not have access to my inner rocker on pass side. I may get these and try to make something that goes to the frame.

What do folks think about making a plate that bolts to frame and then runs over and bolts to bottom side of rocker? These could then be mounted to that plate.

Anybody have these from Toms? They appear to attach to frame which would solve my aux tank issue.
