Good MT tire for Snow and Trails

Right now I have BF Goodrich MT KM3 tires. Dont really like them on the road and they seem very terrible in the snow off road this weekend. Need to change. I used to have IROK Bias and loved them but not sure if they are still good. On the road I just want a tire that tracks nice. Noise I dont really care about.

Should I go back to IROk maybe radials or other brands, models. Trails here are mostly in the woods with few rocks and clay. Size now is 37x12.5x17 with bead locks. Dont really want to to larger. Any suggestions?

I plan to go with Goodyear MTRs or Cooper Stt Pros. I havent ran either.

I've run BFG ko2 and heard good things in the snow. They last forever.

IMO the BFG lacks enough siping for good snow performance. My current faves are Yokohama MT and Maxxis Razr MT. Both track nice on the road and have been impressed with them all around offroad, however I have not had the opportunity to test them in much snow. The Maxxis is a very tough tire, probably more so that the Yokohama, aired down they both conform to obstacles better than the BFG, at least in my opinion, I've run those too in the past.

From my observation the Baja Boss MT is a very good tire off road, it thrives in loose, boldery rock and mud, as for snow, not a clue, but they look like they would dig in it like a paddle tire LOL.

I'm about to get my first, firsthand exposure to Cooper STT's. I put a set on my buggy to replace the extremely used and loved Maxxis Trepadore stickies that were on it. We'll see how I like them. For its use I could not justify another set of competition tires, the price of the STT's was spectacular, found a deal that couldn't be passed up, so on they went. It is nice to not have 4 flat tires every time it needs to be moved, which unfortunately is far more often than it gets wheeled. The treps would be flat in about 3 days, just breathed air everywhere LOL.

I run old KM2's on my bronco and they are far better than the old Super Swampers in most cases. I have been more than impressed with the Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my SuperDuty. So much so that I may put a set on my Bronco. But what ever Yeller says is pretty solid experience. He has enough tires on the ground to keep a tire warehouse in motion.

One question. The Maxxis MT I think is a load range E tire. Any issues with this?

It is a load range E. I've not had any issues, they ride good even at street pressures and on Moab trips I've been able to run a little more air, like 16-18psi negating the need to air up and down so much, wheeling at home I run them 10-12psi. I only run 22-24psi street driving. I've not got any experience with C rated in a 37, just D and E rated, these by far have been my favorite tire I've run on this truck, I've run old school MTR's (before the dual tread design) were E and my least favorite tire, they were horrible. Mastercraft MTX in D, my second favorite for ride, drive and traction, but had thin sidewalls, the ride, drive, and traction were on par with Maxxis. I've run several sets of BFG KO2, liked them fine but like the Maxxis better, hard to explain but there are just better nuances that are small. The Maxxis and Mastercrafts were the roundest and best balanced of all of them. I run no weights or balance beads on any of them.

Well I went with the Maxxis Razr MT. Excited to try them out. Not alot of fun changing the tires using a Hi Lift jack to break the tire beads on my beadlocks. But got it done.

I hope you are as pleased as I am with mine. For rocks the did need a little break in, the compound is slick from the molding process but once that is worn off, they have been fantastic.
