I’ve had a few. Plates are long gone. Both my brother and I had early broncos. First plate BRNCBROS. We used to do a lot of fishing together along the outer banks and used my 78 bronco as the rig to run up and down the beach. Its plate was OUTRBNKS.

8 characters? Must've been one of those European type license plates.

Stay away from the Bronco owner with the custom plate, LUBED.

I used to have 75BRONC on mine a decade ago but let it go when I got historic plates. Retired the plate to the garage wall...

The plate I had on my ‘72 was EZRYDR. Had planned to keep it for the ‘77 but when I found out the antique tag was only $38, as I remember, and was a one time and for the entirety of my ownership, I decided to not pay the $50 vanity plate fee every year.
Besides, there’s something kinda cool about having an antique tag.
