Flare install without fasteners

Hey all. I searched, but no luck. I know some folks and/or builders have installed flares using a strong adhesive/glue/bonding agent to avoid using rivets/screws, but i cannot find any info what was used. I am using gorilla flares, so a urethane type flare. I remember hearing it was a 3m panel bonding adhesive, but not sure if that is correct or which one it is. I know this idea is not for everyone, so not looking for pros and cons, just wondering if anyone knows which product is used. Pictures for examples. Thanks in advance.

i'd also imagine with the proper surface prep (clean, scuff, adhesive primer) on the flare side and some automotive 3m double sided tape, it would be sufficient to hold them and easy to install.

Pick the width you want. I'm not sure if this is what those builders are using, but this is what's used in Automotive to mount trim, spoilers, fender extensions. I use this stuff to mount my exterior security cameras so I don't have to drill screw holes. Very difficult to get off without a heat gun/alcohol.

I used the 3M panel bonding adhesive on mine, but they are fiberglass, so I don't know if it would be different with the urethane flares. That was 6 or 7 years ago and they are are holding up great.

Many of the new car panels are bonded together with epoxy (no mechanical connections). I imagine the pro shops are using the same product to get the "no hardware, flair look". A friend of mine does hotrod work. A few years ago he was bonding a fiberglass induction hood scoop to a metal hood. I "think" the bonding agent was from 3M. It's an epoxy in 2 tubes and takes a special gun to apply it (the nozzle of the gun has corkscrew like channels that mixes the epoxy together).

Wow! Those two rigs have to be the cleanest Gorilla Warflare install I have ever seen. I'm sure it took some time and proper product and prep to get them to come out that way. I have tried to 3M double tape but was never satisfied with the way it turned out. I would also guess those are panel bonded as they look to clean to be anything else.

I think the 3M tape would work but if you want a better/permanent job use the 3M epoxy. I used t on my dash a half dozen years ago and it is still perfect.
