Going through my old photo album and I found this pictures of my old bronco. I bought this back my senior year of high school in 1984 for two grand.

I had some great times in that thing and I beat it to hell.

It was in better shape than this when I bought it.

This is a picture of it in action up in Hollecomb valley, in the San Bernadino mountains.

Are we that old??? Has that much time gone by. I got my first one when I was 17 too. Almost 19 years ago. It doesn't seam that long ago.

I sure have fond memories of my first one. I guess that's why I have two now.

Thanks for bringing back the memories, Tod

Guess I'm trying to relive some car fantasies from my teenage years. My sophmore year of high school, I found a BEAUTIFUL chrome yellow '76 and tried every way I knew to come up with the cash to buy it. Couldn't do it, some rich kid's daddy bought it for him. It was trashed within 8 months or so, a real shame. So now that I have the time and money to spare, I finally got an EB... and then another one. And have my eye on another one...

Nobody told me this was an addiction.%)

That's pretty neat!...time fly's doesn't it?...got my first one back in the early 80's, a 73 that had been beat all to hell and back and was ready for the bone yard. I bought it for a couple hundred bucks and drove it home. no top no doors however it ran and even had a warn winch.....What was really great was you could go to the junk yard and buy parts for them for a little of nothing. I bought a nice top and two nice doors for another couple hundred dollars. So for half a C note I had myself a decent shape bronco...those were the days.....I have had broncos ever since, its in the blood I guess........;) ;D ;D

Here's my first one I got back in the late 70's. I poured a lot of money into it but never regretted a minute. I also have had it in my blood ever since. I just couldn't afford another one untill now. Kids and family took priority.

I bought mine 26 years ago when I was 18, it looked like new back then now it looks old like me but I still drive it alot. Best damn thing that ever came in my life. The old girl friends are gone, the wife is an ex now, my parents are gone, been through 3 dogs and 3 other cars. But my true blue Bronco has been by my side through thick and thin. When I'm gone I think I will have it crushed with me in it and tossed in the ocean. Who says you cant take it with you.

77TexasBronc, yep that was in 1985 and 1986. We had taken our Broncos to Indy to the first Jamborees they had. My friend had a black one set up like mine with 44s. They approched me and ask if I wanted to have it in the mag.

I moved from home and left it at a 4 wheel shop. It got trashed and I could never get it hauled down here. I finally sold it for $1,000 to a guy for parts. (I could have kicked my self now) It still runs around TN with the same paint job on it.

I'm suprised anyone would remember it except me, I still have it posted all over my office.

Hi my name is Tom and I am also a Bronco-holic!!

Didn't realize so many folks had the same story.

I bought a '77 in '78 for $6,000 - put a plow on it (bad idea) and it soon got cancer. I sold it in '80. Bought a CJ5 in Lubbock, drove from Lubbock to Durango in '82. That CJ5 made me so mad, I traded it in for the '74 Bronco I have today - while on vacation. Bought it at a Ford dealer in Durango if there is anyone here that traded it in....

Over 20 yrs and just getting around to putting time and money into it.....
