    ok jumped out to green wire and now have 14.0V So i need to trace back to ignition switch to find lostvoltage. But for now will it stay working with the jumper I would just have to remove jumper...

    so with the key on i should have 12v at green wire. Can i jump power from battery to the green wire. My wiring is a 75 but should be about the same. I switched to a 75 to have the electonic ignition wired in years ago

    with the voltage reg unplugged i have 12v on yellow but with key on i do not have any voltage on the green wire Is this a problem with the ignition switch and if so is ther a way to jump it out to verify Thanks a lot

    I took out the alternator and the voltage regulator and had both tested. They tested ok I checked contintuity in the orange field wire from alt to reg Ok Any other ideas. I am using a volt meter to check voltages Thanks

    ok I have no voltage at the field wire and 12V at the battery term. but i cant get the alternator to produce the 13.8-14.0 volts. Any ideas where to look at now.

    I replaced my alternator with a stock rebuilt from AZone also replaced the regulator. If you check the field term. to ground you read contintuity. On my old one you cant. Should you be able to read the field wire to ground?

    My voltage gauge will go from 14 to 12 volts or lower. This has been happening for about 6 months now. It seems to stay at 14 enough to keep the battery charged as long as i limit night driving. The headlights drag it down too much. Sometimes I can wiggle wire at the regulator and the starter...
