    beard seat opinions please

I have the sportsters in the front, very nice seat, very easy in and out. I used beards bronco seat mounts, and they were a breeze to put in. I liked them so much I also put a matching rear seat in! The low backs are actually very nice, maybe not a lot of crash protection, but keep in the...

    Truck Avenger Q

I had an off idle stumble with both the 470 and 670 TA. After many accelerator pump nozzle and cam changes, and many, many hours, I fixed the problem by bending the accelerator pump arm up a little to make sure it was in constant contact with the cam. From the factory, all three carbs (that's...

    ARB switch placement

thanks guys. I never really thought about putting them on the center console, but I may just put them on the front of my tuffy console. They would be within easy reach and not have to clutter up my dash too much. Running the wires may be a little bit of a pain, though.

    ARB switch placement

Hey guys, any good ideas on where to put the three switches for an ARB setup?? I have a stock dash, and don't really see anyplace they can go, other than way over by the glove box. Maybe need to make a bracket??? Any pictures on what you guys have done would be great. thanks, Norm

9" flange I.D. question with carnage pics

Thanks for the input, guys. I am pretty sure that it is an "early" big bearing, standard duty (66-75). I don't think that it could really get any more confusing.....

9" flange I.D. question with carnage pics

How it broke. I "was just driving along....." Actually, I was not doing anything too outrageous, just out for an easy trail run my family's ranch. There were four of us the car. We went down a small 2 or 3 foot drop off... At the bottom of the hill, we all got out, as planned. When we got...

9" flange I.D. question with carnage pics

hi guys, I need to I.D. which axle ends, or flange that I have on my 9". I need to replace every part of the rear end due to a snapped axle housing, bent axle, and destroyed third member. The Posi is gone too. The good news in that now I have an excuse to upgrade! ;D I will probably go...

    air bumps or JounceShock installation

What about mounting them (jounce shocks) inside the coils? Do you have to run them front and rear to get all the bennies out of them?

serious question, cut / uncut looking qt. panel

love it! I have seen this look on some very modified rigs before, and wondered how I could make it work on my not-so modified one. I think the best option would be to offer the whole quarterpanels, not quite so tough to put on as welding in a patch panel. I would definatly buy if the price was...

    air bumps or JounceShock installation

Anyone out there used bumpstops such as the JounceShock? I have read a lot of good things about their ability to greatly increase the big hit capability of the rig they are put on. where would be the best place to put such a product, i.e. directly under the frame or should they be off set to...

easy way to determine which disc brakes I have?

thank you guys, my calipers slide into the retainers on the axle, so I assume that they are ford parts, as stated earlier.

easy way to determine which disc brakes I have?

hello everyone. I just broke my first axle this weekend!!!! I don't know wether to be pissed or happy that I can now claim this badge of honor of four wheel-dom?? Anyway, I was looking at new, more stout front axles, and need to know which outers to buy, the stock ford type or the chevy type...

    WTF happened?

I would guess that your problem has something to do with the install of your new twin sticks. Especially if it never did it before you installed them. I would take a good look at your linkage, springs, etc. You may just need to adjust your linkage a little to allow it to "seat" a litte further...

    stock steel wheel sizes

stock wheels are very narrow, 5.5 or so as stated above. I think you would have a hard time even finding a tire shop that would mount 35s on such a narrow wheel. You could send you wheels out and have them widened, I think they cut and then reweld the wheels. I know that stockton wheel used to...

It won't stay running! Latest UPDATE! 3/27

any updates? my 74 seems to be doing the same thing this weekend. I am thinking a clogged fuel line or maybe a hot coil. (Forgot to check the coil when it quit). Mine would not run at all, but when I went back with the trailer to pick it up the next day, it fired right up and ran great.

    Why Dana 44?

I also think many guys think the D44 is the hot set up because that is the only way to get stock disc brakes on an eb.
