    electric fans

I'm doing this upgrade right now...installed a 3G from a 95 mustang (small case) and a taurus electric fan. I went with the flex-a-lite variable speed controller and used a 40 amp fuse for the power supply. I went ahead and went the relay route for the headlights and added a fuseblock for...

    435w?

I am a smallblock fan for the bronco purely for keeping the weight off the nose of the truck. There are alot of ways you can go with the 351w...393, 408, 427 (351w factory block) or up to 460+ with a dart block. Any of these combinations with set of good set of aluminum heads (afr...

Which alum heads for 11:1, 89 5.0 HO

About the best way to go for a sbf is the AFR 165. You can get a 58 cc chamber but it will only get you to about 9.7:1. Your going to have to change pistons or do some serious milling to get to 11:1

    GT40 heads vs GT40-P

The P heads are my favorite of the two heads..I went 12.03 with a set of ported p's in my 88 stang, but the difference in spark plug angle can be an issue on an eb. Just for the sake of less headache I would go gt40's over the P's on the eb. You won't notice any significant difference in the...

    explorer motor questions

I think they went to the p heads in mid 97 so you need to take a look at the heads. GT40P is stamped on the exhaust side of the heads between the head bolts. The mountaineer and explorer had the same engine

    EFI help

I see you're running 30lb injectors, you should be ok with those. Try lowering your fuel pressure to see if it helps. Like jghflys suggested, check your TPS voltage and make sure its set right. It should be at 0.95-0.98 volts with the throttle closed and the key on.

    Methonal Injection

The purpose of methanol injection is to cool the incoming charge temp on turbo and supercharged engines. NA engines don't have a problem with heating the intake charge so you won't see any hp benefit.

Tell me about t birds for fulie donars

The 5.0 never had aluminum heads from the factory. Keep your eyes open and you'll find a good donar. I just parted out an 88 tbird that I bought for $300. I pulled the engine, wiring harness, aod (for another bronco project) and still managed to get $350 out of the remaining parts.

    347 Stroker vs. 351 Windsor

Forget all the stroker/non stroker stuff for a minute...an engine is an engine is an engine. When you add more stroke to an engine you are actually lowering the rpms at which the engine will make hp/torque with the same heads and cam. If you build a 347 and 351 with the same heads and cam you...

    EFI fuel system questions

Explorer fuel rails have the return and the fuel lines attach to them at the left rear of the block. The mustang/tbird fuel rails attach to the fuel lines at the right front of the engine.

    347 Stroker vs. 351 Windsor

Either engine with a properly matched combination will more than do the job in a bronco, its a matter of preference. For what you will be doing you won't tell a bit of difference in the hp and torque between the two (I've run both) and they will handle pretty much anything you throw at it. The...

Anyone using hydraulic assist with F150 4x4 steering?

I'm finally getting around to putting the F150 box in my truck and I want to go ahead and tap into the box for hydraulic assist, has anyone here done this? Where did you drill into the box? I have several links and alot of info for this mod but nothing specific to this box. Thanks
