Thanks for all the info guys. I was hoping that it wouldn't be too hard to just use the c-6/205 alone but it sounds like it is. I guess I'll stick the motor & tranny in the fairlane pile for future consideration. I would consider trading them for a 5 sp. & converter or a power steering setup...

Has anybody played with these trucks? My wife got me one for xmas and it's a serious blast! We made a course in my shop ouy of whatever and took turns running it for about an hour.Now everybody comes over to play with the rock truck.That's the best $150.00 toy out there. 8-)

Okay, Iknow what a motor mount is... What I'm asking is if the mounts aren't in the right spot,how can the motor be mounted to it?Are they slotted? It doesn't look like the mounts have been moved.So when I go with an np 435, my stock 6 cyl.-3 sp. adaptor, and the 71 v-8 bellhousing thats coming...

Is that a full width d-44 in there? I just picked up a h.p. one that was already in a e.b. The radius arm mounts at the axle are angled inward and the spring perches are still on top of the clamps. How did you convert yours?

There is a guy on ebay with a np 435 5 sp. out od a 2 wd dodge truck. Is he high? He says ity has a 34 spline output so that would have to go but if it is o.d. it would be well worth it. Is this for real, or is is really not an np 435? JAG
