That looks a little like the axle Todd Foss built for his truck although his is only “kinked” on the long side if I recall correctly. More details please I very intrigued on how this is put together.

We’ve used camper top seals. The old style closed cell foam type with adhesive on one side.

NC gives you 8 characters or did when I used to pony up the extra cash for personal plates. Now I run year of manufacture. My wife got me some nice plates for my trucks last year. I’ll get some photos of those and post them.

Nice find. I made these about 15 years ago when the only thing on the market were aircraft style visors and too expensive.

I’ve had a few. Plates are long gone. Both my brother and I had early broncos. First plate BRNCBROS. We used to do a lot of fishing together along the outer banks and used my 78 bronco as the rig to run up and down the beach. Its plate was OUTRBNKS. Found some photos of old plates.

The rear discs add a “cool” factor but in my opinion not needed on an EB. I’ve got them on both my EB and my full size 78 bronco and frankly the rear drums stop as well if not better than the disc and are much more user friendly

I’ve had really good luck using a needle scaler to remove undercoating. If you have access to an air compressor you can pick one up from harbor freight for less than 30 bucks. Make sure us wear hearing an eye protection. It’s loud!!!

With the low/reverse band broken or slipping you wouldn’t have low (1st).

The 435 is a great transmission, tough, low geared and quiet compared to the late model aluminum cased options, but it doesn’t have an overdrive and in daily use it is nothing more than a 3 speed with an extra low first gear that is rarely used. I’ve had two trucks with that trans and loved it...

Built a tuffy console knock-off for my brother’s’71. I had a spare tuffy pad and a sheet of 3/16 aluminum plate, a brake and some time.

I recently paid 250 for 2.5” duals from manifolds to behind the rear tires including mufflers. Local shop that is aways busy and does outstandingly good work. All aluminized steel tube machine bent. Your price will vary im sure.
