Just got a '76 and feel ripped off

At $12,500, I think you got a fantastic deal! I bought an original 76 with rusted out floor boards and a 302 that knocked badly. The original paint was so thin, that you could see the primer in many places. The power brake booster was full of oil and I paid $5,000.00 just because it was original...

Rear Fender Screws, How did you get these?

Heat them first and then impact. They will come out.

    Pics of 35's and up...

I could run 37s with my set up, but you couldn't do much offroading requiring alot of flex. You could go War Flares and make the openings larger.

    Twin Stick lever orientation

I used the Wild Horses twin sticks for my J-shift and they work great with either the stock shifter or the Hurst short throw. DFP, - I've never done the T-Shift conversion, so I can't help.

    B&M shifter for NV 3550

I have the hurst and love it! It is so much better than the Jeep shifter that came with the transmission. I bought mine from Summit and it was worth every penny! If you do get the hurst, make sure you locktight the bolts that secure the handle to the shift mechanism. The B&M looks really nice...

    Tailgate

Revelation is correct. You need one person on each side with a small flat screwdriver to pry the spring loaded latch open. You may need to get a picture of an open tailgate so you can see how the mechanism works.

    build drivetrain suggestions: 302-V8 vs 300-I6 ???

If you have the ability, tools and skills for this kind of fabrication, then by all means the 300 is a great powerplant. If you only have the abilty to bolt together a set up or if you are paying to have it done, then going 302/351 is the only way to go.

    Last resort lean fix?

Did you try swapping the front springs side to side?

looking to see who runs these and how they look

I would go with 2.5" suspension lift, flares and 33x12.5s. You can run 31's with just the flares and no suspension lift. I like the low mean look. Just enough lift to clear the tires and allow room for stuffing. Any more clearance is a waste and doesn't look good in my humble opinion.

    Pics of 35's and up...

These are 35"x12.5"x17" BFG Mud Ta's on 17"x10" rims with 4" backspacing. If I remember correctly, the flares are Bushwacker. The suspension lift is 4" with a 1" body lift to clear the NV3550 transmission. I'm calling the lift 4" because I have extended radius arms that have some lift built into...

    rear bronco lean

Do not loosen the C-Bushings and drive it. That sounds like a disaster in the making. I also re-aligned mine without disconnecting the brake lines, so it can be done. Good Luck!

What have you done to your Bronco today?

Rear end was wiped! Ring, Pinion, bearings, spider-gears everything! You could use the edge of the pinion gears teeth to cut plywood! New parts on the way! Hopefull I'll be back on the road Tuesday or Wednesday. :)

    New drive shaft?

There are a couple around, but not many. I only drive mine a couple of times a month. There are many more on the East Coast. I usually see a few around Ft. Lauderdale and when I go the Palm Beach Boat Show, I always see two or three during the week while I'm there. Chris B.

    Fender Flairs

Mine are over 3 years old and not a single crack or chip in the paint on the flares. I wish I could say that for the rest of the truck. :( Mailboxes, rocks other hazards tend to damage paint! :)

    Fender Flairs

I used to own a 75 Bronco with fiberglass flares. The fiberglass eventually cracks around the mounting screws and if you rub them against the tires or rocks, they will crack and break. The Gorilla flares just don't look quite right on a bronco. If looks are important, these may not be the right...
