Anyone have experience with Blueprint engines in a Bronco

A coworker had a blueprint Chrysler 408 stroker engine in a barracuda that he picked up for the same reasons and had nothing but headaches, rear main seal first right off the bat so he pulled the engine and repaired it himself. Then the thing started smoking badly, sent it back and they...

    Hydroboost leak

It's pretty common for the hydroboosters to leak from between the booster and master. Also seen them leak at the pushrod inlet inside the cab too

    E3 Spark Plugs?

With a lot of the 3 prong plugs it fires to the center and the others are supposed to prevent turbulence and spark blowout , they are usually further away and the center would have the little platinum or iridium plated pad. Different engines respond to different types of plugs, some engines will...

Floors - Who Makes the BEST

The fitment of the thick WH pans was terrible and I regret doing it, the rolled ribs were a little off throwing the whole pan off. I should have returned or exchanged them. This was a few years ago so I would imagine the new ones are corrected

    WB stretch

I went 4" front with a different steering box and moved parts and 4" rear with a bcb tank pushed back. With 3.5" springs I pulled all but 2 leaves out and compressed the suspension and clear the tank and crossmember but I haven't driven it yet

    Welder advice

millermatic 211 here too. For what it's worth, mine had a minor issue out of the box-just a pushed back pin to the wire feed motor, but I emailed miller and within 15 minutes had an email back with a local miller certified repair shop. With the good experience I had with their warranty I would...

    MSD ignition and EFI?

I had the stuff laying around and threw a 6al box on and had big crossfire issues even with a new cap and rotor so if you do it I would recommend an aftermarket cap and rotor. I pulled it off for simplicity and reliability because my engine is not that rodded out I probably don't need it so I'm...

DIY Ford Mustang EFI wiring harness conversion- GETTING UGLY

Look for the old ford Motorsport install manual harness manual, you used to be able to buy it from ford for $5.00. Their harness was a 93 harness and you cut off the brown and green connectors and wire constant hot, run hot, crank only hot and crank/run hot. It's a pain because the factory...

    Power Steering Conversion

for the price and the ratio (6.5 turns lock to lock on some) of the bronco steering boxes I am a fan of the toyota steering boxes(4.5 turns lock to lock). you have to drill some new holes, they sell the fittings for the box to make it -6 JIC fittings to make the lines cheaper and they're plenty...

Life of pneumatic tools at 120 PSI

our shop air compressor used to cut out at 175psi and we rarely had any issues but they were all quality tools but I know most never got oiled. Shop is dialed back down to 155psi now

    pics of hood scoop options

I've got a factory 83 gt scoop as shown above, factory ones have studs molded in and aftermarket versions are stick on FYI. Nice low profile scoop, and is also wide enough to go around fuel injection intakes with intake spacers

    Best 351W EFI Lower Intake

Be aware when buying new cobra intakes as they are made in china and the casting is somewhat porous and a little rough but still probably not as bad as the professional products-which are ok with a lot of clean up and porting. Original cobra manifolds were made in usa

Update Axle housing end sleeveable or do you have to replace?

By the time you buy the tubes and pay to have it retubed you may as well buy the currie housing which is a direct bolt in and has larger diameter tubes and you won't have to worry about bending the factory housing later on. There is something to be said for turn around time and leg work also...
