    Questions about 1970 Sport originality

Yeah, that's definitely not what this one looks like. In the spare parts box it goes. Haha.

    Questions about 1970 Sport originality

Turns out the map light is indeed tucked up under the dash. I can't find a picture of the Bronco coat hook online, but even if this is a Bronco coat hook that was relocated to the dash, I don't think it came from this truck, as that seems to be a Ranger option, not a Sport option (???). But...

    Questions about 1970 Sport originality

I have a mostly original 1970 Sport with Convenience Group that will be restored...well...mostly original. That said, I have a few questions regarding the '70 Sport options and other stuff. I did get a deluxe Marti Report before compiling these questions. 1. It looks as if the side trim was...

    Remote Driver Mirror

My '70 Sport has a 1969 Galaxie Mirror. It seems to have fit the Bronco perfectly, both in screw hole placement and style/size. I feel the shape is perfect for the Bronco. Though it isn't original to the truck, I'm really tempted to keep it. Part number c9ab-17743-a A link to some pics of...

    Remote Driver Mirror

On the subject of mirrors, what would be the "sport outside mirror" referenced here under 1971? https://classics.autotrader.com/articles/1966-77-ford-bronco-collectors-guide My '70 sport has a different but similar mirror to the ones you posted. I'll have to pop it off and get a part number...

SOLD '76 Project Bronco for sale

I didn't plan on parting with my '76, but ended up with another project to focus on. The truck here has a 9 inch rear, Dana 30 front that was put in by the PO, Dana 20 transfer case, two seats, wiring harness, steering column/wheel, an extra set of front springs and an extra dash pad with a few...

Very early bronco found in wyoming

Been smoking burned-up seam sealer. You know how that goes. Nasty stuff! :o

Very early bronco found in wyoming

None. That's a prime example of convergent evolution. :p

Very early bronco found in wyoming

By the way, anyone who wants to learn (lots of time and lots of gas money) can go out and hunt for fossils themselves. It's no different than caring for a 4x4 trail, though. Make sure you have permission from the landowner (in most states, only private land is suitable for hunting...I know...

Very early bronco found in wyoming

If memory serves me correctly, this is an Eohippus sp. that was found in the Green River formation. These horses were really tiny. In stark contrast, you would have had the contemporary (late Eocene-early Oligocene) rhino-like brontotheres (also known as titanotheres) that stood up to 9 feet...

    Raise your price ???

Broncos are definitely not rare. Another opinion regarding price: As somebody who works on all makes and models of classic cars and trucks on a daily basis, I have come to accept that Broncos were always built cheap. The engineering in the body itself is kind of toyish, the metal is thin...

My experience SEM vs Raptor spray liner

I haven't had a chance to use Raptor, but have had excellent luck with SEM, as long as we do one "cover" coat followed by an "even-out" coat. A few questions: 1. What is the hardness of the Raptor compared to SEM? 2. Is the raptor as textured? 3. Is the Raptor as glossy? Anybody with...

One sexy late-model Bronco.. who knew that was possible?!

I used to have a '78 and have seriously been considering doing another. This is really REALLY motivating.

    Tom's Ultra-Flex flares

I got the flares from Tom's that are flexible with the classic outline. Are those the ones you're talking about? I haven't installed them yet, but they are very nice. If I ever have to buy another set, they will be the same kind. EDIT: Just checked, those Ultra-Flex flares are indeed what I...

    Rocker panel questions

Mine were "OEM Style" as well. They needed shortened a bit. Maybe 1/2"? They aren't OEM, just OEM style. Just make sure it fits the door and make sure the door pillars fit with the front end and you should be okay.

is your roll cage connected to your frame?

I've got 1 5/8 cage tube running across the bottom of the floor and connected to the body mount blots. It allows a bit of flex. It's not attached to the body in any way. I feel the body should be able to flex on its own so it doesn't bend permanently. I won't be offroading much, but after...
