Thanks for the info...spent most of the day trying to get it to run ( no keys and starter was out of it) but it fired up and ran great. Tomorrow I will start to tear it all apart. I think that 5.0 and 4r70w will be a great combo in an early Bronco

I picked up 2wd 5.0 96 Explorer last week from a friend who said I could have it as long as I take out the rear end and bring it back to him. My plan is to swap the engine and trans into a early Bronco in the future. Besides the engine , trans , harness, and computer is there anything else...

I removed a section of the brace wide enough for the shifter hole and also for clearance between the body and the tranny. I have a 1 inch body lift installed, a 2 inch would probably require less trimming

I would like to know if you install the short throw kit will that eliminate the shifter from hitting the dash?

I just did this a couple of weeks ago (body off) with a 1 inch body lift it was still tight. I had the body on and off a few times before I was happy. I agree that a 2 inch would be easier but personally dont like the looks of body lifts. On one of my threads, I asked where to cut the tranny...

I am trying to get everything put back together so I can start my 347 in my 69. The fan, p/s, and alt line up perfectly, but the lower pulley is way off. The new balancer is thicker than the stock one . Is there a way to measure somehow to find out what pulley I need?....Thanks

Not sure about shifter yet, hopefully soon. The header hit on some webbing that can be ground off not a problem but while i was eye ballin I noticed the drivers side i dont want to grind and still have issues on the other side. I clocked the t case to where the front driveline clears the B.C...

I bolted up my Zf 5 speed to my new engine this weekend and when I put my new long tube headers on, the passenger side hit the bell housing and the drivers side looks like the front drive line will hit Do I need to run shorty headers? I have the body off right now and want to get everything...
