    ID Searching for Hard Top

I have a hard top on my 1966, and a nasty crack on the roof. Looks like it’s been there for decades. Finally have a bit of time to show my Bronco some attention. Was hoping someone in the region was looking to sell one. Thanks!

    carb tuning

Will do. Just for giggles I went back out to check vacuum, re-do idle mixture screws, idle and timing. Vacuum was fluctuating between 15-18, timing at 15. I tried the mixture screws all the way in, then backed out 1/4 turns all the way to 3.5 out. No change, still extremely heavy exhaust, with...

    carb tuning

Ha! Well I suppose replacing the engine would definitely fix the problem! As for idling at 650, I have it set that high to give me a couple seconds to do some dancing at a stop light and keep it from dying. We just had a club meeting tonight and the general consensus was to take it to the...

    carb tuning

I know this is an old thread, but I'm having very similar issues but I didn't exactly catch what aliensecretion replaced. Mine is a 302 that "lopes" at idle to the point of almost dying. At stoplights, i have to my foot on the gas or it will sputter and die. Just did a carb rebuild, tried...

    Ultimate Luber Build

Just paying a little "Thank You" to Doug by throwing up my LUBR. When I picked up my rust bucket a few years ago, the poor girl didn't have any doors. Luckily, Doug had an extra set that he kindly sold to me up in Idaho. Don't lose faith brother, guys (and gals for that matter) drool at a well...

looking for some pics of wheels

Here's what I did with my Ford logo dog bowls. Had a friend cut the fronts out with his plasma cutter.

    Rear Speakers?

I really like the speaker bar idea only because in the summer with the top off it would at least be protected better than my current set up (boxes behind rear seat). Was it pretty easy to install? How did you run your wires? Thanks!

Official Bronco Sighting Thread - TV or Movies

Lots of cool shows lately with Broncos in them. I just saw "I am number 4" and the LUBR in it was pretty sweet. I'll have to check Hall Pass out too!

    HEY GUYS! Noob Questions! :)

Untamed- I can speak from personal experience that you don't have to know a whole lot about cars to work on these rigs. I bought a '72 for $2300 a few years ago AND THEN found this forum. It's an addiction for sure, but after a couple of years of surfing these forums, I learned what to look...

    Grill letters

I've bought both my grille and tailgate letters from Broncitis. They're top notch and a good price. You won't be disappointed!

    radio

I kept my original radio in my '66 but I wired up a little amp with RCA inputs that my iPod plugs into. All the wires are hidden, dash looks stock, but I can crank to some Metallica. :-) I also have a little mp3 player that has an FM tuner so I can get radio too. I can't remember who's idea it...

    Bought A 73' Bronco

Ya gotta watch out for those brothers. Ha ha. While I was deployed my brother picked one up for me too. I ended up playing with it for a couple years but the rot that was hidden was too much for me to handle. Truth be told, it showed me what to look for in my next purchase. Yours looks to be in...

    What fuel/octane do you run?

I run 87 Octane Unleaded with no ethanol. It increased my mpg by about 1.5 - 2 miles over the last 4 tanks. I also drive like a grandma though as my rig is my daily driver. Getting 12 mpg is still cheaper than driving my F250 diesel. Adding electronic ignition this week, so we'll see if that...

Whats the best place to get a pair of steel front fenders?

I picked mine up from LMC Truck. No problems. Didn't have the antennae hole or fender badge holes drilled, but since I was removing my antennae it was a benefit.

    1st road trip

    66 Doors from Newport

I know I paid $450 for mine. Sandblasted and disassembled ready for paint. Then again I thought they were a steal when I got them. All depends on the motivation of the buyer I suppose.

Whats a good 3 1/2 lift for a uncut and a tire size?

Hey Mac, Did you have any problems with the 32 x 11's ever rubbing in the back on full stuff? I've got 31’s on my rig now and would like to squeeze in as much rubber as I can. Thanks. Craig

Whats a good 3 1/2 lift for a uncut and a tire size?

Here's a couple of shots of mine too. :-) 31 x 10.50's on stock rims. 3 1/2" leafs in the rear, with 4" coils in the front. Over Christmas I tried to get a little twisted action going to see if the tires would rub...no problems at all.

    Flexform carpet?

Haven't tried it, but I googled it and found this website: http://www.midwestfabrics.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=530 Looks like it's on sale for $7.95 a yard. If this is the same stuff you were looking at, this might be a heck of a deal.
