Thanks! I do appreciate the leads and will give it a go. I assumed it could be done but was concerned as the engine was so old. It is amazing to me that Ford did not change the basic engine more in 20 years. Good for me!

I have a recently rebuilt 73 302 and want to install the full EFI system off a 1989 Mustang 5.0. I searched but did not find the answer. Has anyone done this or does anyone know if the parts from the 89 will work on the 73 long block?

That was indeed helpful. Appears the computer out of a 89-93 Mustang is the goal for the computer. That said it seems like an entire Mustang donor vehicle from those years should supply everything needed. Please post if I am incorrect.

I have searched and read many threads... What is the best vehicle to purchase as a donor vehicle with a 5.0 fuel injected motor. I read several times that the 96 and early 97 Explorers were best. Is that the answer? Any insight as to what is the best and easiest to convert would be appreciated.
