    Bronco weight

Wow. Last time I ran mine over the Coop scale it was over 5200. Wondering now what I added that is so dang heavy.

Tired of the truck avenger gumming up

Local small engine shop told me 1/2 of his business was from people running ethanol.

    Hypothetically speaking… trail tops?

A couple years ago I found "5 left" on eBay. Picked one up...it's cheap and probably won't last long, but it's nice to have. Might think about a padded heavy duty option that would be good enough to trailer in the rain.

    tire suggestion for street driving...

My vote would have been for the KO2 also. Question now is...white letters in or out? I usually don't like white letters, but the way BF does them I always leave them out.

    Should i get EFI?

I'm in the process of replacing EFI systems on my Bronco. I think EFI is a real game changer off road. That being said, I'm getting ready to hop in my carb'd F-150 with hand choke to drive to work (25F) this morning. No plans to ever EFI that one. Also something to consider: my Sniper1 didn't...

Any Holley Sniper 2 experience yet?

I couldn't find anyone with Sniper 2 experience either (started a post a few weeks ago). New ProFlow is in an unopened box in the shop. As soon as I get the calves to town the Sniper 1 is coming off (and into the trash?) and the ProFlow is going on.

I like that! Gonna order one right now!

    EFI replacement (options/opinions?)

Had to put this off for a while. (Hate it when work gets in the way of Bronco'ing). But here's an update: Ordered the Pro-Flow 4 this morning. Spent a half hour on the phone with Edelbrock Tech Support yesterday and have decided to go this route. I was really considering trying to piece...

    EFI replacement (options/opinions?)

Aftermarket does seem the easier way to go. Anybody have any experience with the 2nd gen Sniper or the Pro-Flow?

    EFI replacement (options/opinions?)

No warranty left. Electrical problems are fixed. I shut the alternator breaker off thinking it would be an anti-theft method. Turns out will start just fine. I didn't notice the voltage dropping until it was too late. That being said, I consider it a major weakness if low voltage kills the ECU.

    EFI replacement (options/opinions?)

So at OCBR I let my voltage drop (had the alternator breaker off...dumb mistake) and my Sniper started running like crap. Backfiring, hesitation, rough idle, etc. I assumed the low voltage messed up my tune. But I've put some miles on it now hoping to retune it and it seems to get better for a...

    Rear Axle Housing: Opinions?

I think it's a good time to ditch the small bearings. I don't know if I can reuse my axles if I go to big bearing. Is the ID of the bearings the same? Or am I going to need new axles? Having to replace axles wouldn't be the end of the world, but I'd definitely like to stick with a 31 spline...

    Rear Axle Housing: Opinions?

Last year I installed a James Duff Torque Tamer using the bolt on bracket instead of welding on the brackets. The Torque Tamer is working great (no more blown out u-joints), but I think all the torque has warped my housing. I can't get the third member to quit leaking. I've torqued the studs...

Can anyone explain how to remove these intake bolts

Just be careful with the ball end wrenches...there's not a lot of grip area and they tend to strip. Another option might be to get some allen head sockets and then use a combination of swivels, breakover bar, etc.....

    Rag joint pictures

I took my lower steering shaft ('73 era) out and welded the lower rag joint to the shaft since the splines were stripped. I didn't pay enough attention to whether the bolts come in from the bottom or top and where exactly that stamped plate goes. I looked through the vendor websites and...

    351w Swap

I think it helps to have a body lift for a Windsor too since the engine is taller.

    OCBR CBs or radios?

Thanks! I'll order the Baofeng you suggested. I'm looking forward to learning more when we all get down there.

    OCBR CBs or radios?

Would this be a good option? https://www.ruggedradios.com/collections/gmrs-two-way-handheld-radios/products/2-pack-gmr2-gmrs-frs-two-way-handheld-radios

    OCBR CBs or radios?

So what would be functional to buy for OCBR? Less than 2 weeks away now! I wouldn't mind buying something with quality and more functionality even if I don't learn to use all the features until next year.

    OCBR CBs or radios?

Been a busy week...just getting back to the radio search. Is a license required for the Baofeng?
