    Ok, thanks for the input, I think I'll stick with the Dura Spark unit for it's reliability, but add a hotter coil. Didn't know their would but such a swing from one side to the other on this topic, put thanks why I asked.

    Thanks for the input, found that the original owner stated that he replaced the starter, pulled it off...not the story. Going to get it checked, reinstall, and run a ground from the Batt to the engine block.
