When your buddy calls and says "let's go".... well, ya can't say no. The bear was 50 yds away running parallel to us then climbed the basalt wall to look down before he took off. Saw a cougar in this area but on the cliffs above the Columbia last year.

I have done nothing since last week due to life here. :) Irrigation season starts tomorrow and that's priority since we will be short appr 1/3rd or more of our water for farming this year. So we gotta use it when we've got it cause we pay for our irrigation water, free stock water in the...

    Power steering cooler with fan

Make sure you go stacked plate design as they are much more efficient- therefore smaller package with more cooling effect. Just .02 I run a small stacked plate next to my radiator behind my grill. Even when crawling on rocks for hours on 90deg days it's fine.

Thought I'd write this down so I'd remember to put it in the final write up. The Windstar V6, 3.8 l cam synchronizer fits a 351W block with the Lars designed spacer which slides over the shaft and sets the mesh of the cam gear and the oil pump gear. Critical height. The end of the shaft also...

    4x4x2 box relocation

I was just saying it's so easy to drill 3 new holes that you move it where it needs to be. I had the arm going forward once also but depending on suspension travel you may incur "bump steer" like I did just from the drag link- gone again when I moved the ps box to the grill and had the arm face...

    4x4x2 box relocation

Shove the box all the way to the grill. Cut the bottom of the grill lip off for another 1/2"+. If you need more, raise your bumper up to cover the hole you just made in the grill to gain more inches and you can gain another whatever amount you need. :) Mine is up to my grill with the lip...

Throwback pictures - post them if ya got them

Uh-oh... "Throwback" w/o the explanation means those 2,000 miles away take it literally as "Throwback pics" ! :) :) :)

Zero oil pressure - 4/14/24 update - fuel in the oil

Exactly what 36Fan said, pull the filter and change it Pull the oil sender and hook a small line up to it so when you crank it or start it you can see if you now have pressurized oil shooting out of it. Then you dive deeper. The first clue was lifter noise (after the gauge) lol You said...

Pictures of broncos in national parks?

Might take a few days to gather all my Bronco pictures of us in Nat'l Parks here in the US. Probably have at least a dozen Provincial Parks pics of us in Alberta, BC and the Yukon also- all in the same Bronco... They are all on slides and prints tho. :) Jon B from JB Fab posted our latest...

More pics because I've typed too much the past week. Thanks for hanging in there all... :) Here I slapped the 4 hole Throttle body on to dbl check clearances. I get to move all my fuel regulator & hoses... again! :) it's what we do right. lol Wires everywhere, hoses everywhere, but...

How's this look? Simple when I don't bend the pin which I'll take credit for but the burr not allowing the hex shaft to fit- not mine! :) Glad I had a couple new spares & a different cam sync for fitting.

Everything you said TS... that's why I just need to quit measuring everything and SLAP it together! :) It must have been burred over at the end but weird because the opening is chamfered

frdnboy- thanks for all the good specs. My distance is 4.03 so within specs and after filing for a bit on the hex shaped "hole" for the shaft the new shafts slip right in. I will fit it in after 1 1/2 rotations so I can time the cam synch. Getting excited. All I have left is to triple check...

TS- my last two I JY sourced but there aren't any in 2 counties now. Crushed... hence the reason for going TermX over '89-93 Stang stuff even tho I'll have a few "old" parts.

I wasn't sure if the shaft incl the half moon top was one pc and that's why I was against the housing. All the ones I've done and never had the upper pin bend/break. During assbly since I'd pulled it apart I then knew I could press against the top (half moon flat spot). Now I know. :) Yes, I've...

So yakesly and others... so I need to rotate my crank 1 1/2 turns and then stab the 1/2 moon shaped synchro BUT where does the 1/2 moon shape "face"? Do I use one of the alignment tools (for stabbing these) but which one?

It's the simple stuff that drives ya NUT's. lol Simple job to press a new melonized gear on the synchronizer and 4 1/2 hrs later now the thing won't drop over the oil pump hex shaft. Done this countless times counting SBC's. (not counting my dealer days). Since that shouldn't happen I tried...
