I know this a crazy hot topic but I'm going to post a solution. The back edge of the pushrod is too long/wide which constantly engaged the switch. Rather than grind the pushrod arm I reamed out the front edge of the hole in the switch. All is good now

I too bought an OEM tank, but parts stores sell generics that look like they'd be fine.

I definitely would have taken the "before" Bronco. Also I know it isn't important in a rock crawler but did they paint the beast when done. Some of the paint on their other projects has been worth seeing. In the posted pics the Bronco doesn't look finished.

The brake system fit is fine. It is just the switch. Hell maybe I'm putting it in wrong. I didn't pay attention when I removed because the last time I replaced one in another Bronco it was no trouble. Anybody got pictures of their brakelight switch installed? I know it is pretty damn boring...

I put in a power brake set up from JBG into my '67. My brake lights are always one. The pushrod seems too long. I'm not looking forward to grinding it under the dash or taking everything apart to grind it elsewhere. Anybody "been there done that". Thanks, Trevor
