A Little Info On Rotor Suppliers I'm fairly familiar with manufacturers of rotors and who they supply. Here is some info: 1) Chinese rotors are becoming more and more prevalent in the market place. There are some quality suppliers....just as good as U.S. 2) AutoZone no longer sells Aimco...

Looking for options on 2 piece soft doors.

I met with Bestop's Eastern Regional Sales Manager a couple of weeks ago and he assured me the Bronco doors would be ready by November. He still wasn't sure of the price. On a side note, he was looking for a list of reputable Bronco distributors who might sell their tops and doors. He...

    Centech vs. Painless

I had both harnesses laid out in the garage side by side (yes, I bought both once the Painless was available). There are differences b/w the two but nothing major. I ended up using the Centech. Centech was wrapped better and I like the watertight connectors. The Painless harness had a much...

    rancho 9000 shocks

I love my 9000's. I've had them on for over 5 years w/no problems. The in-cab adjustment is a must ---- too hard to go outside and turn the knobs.

    Master Cylinder Question

I haven't put it to use yet (still in the restoration phase) but I bought a '68 or '69 (can't remember) Corvette MC because it has a larger bore than stock Bronco and lower profile. Requires only a little reaming of the mounting holes. I read about this MC on this site----seems like several...

    PS Pitman Arm ??

Ok, I'm hooking up my PS box to my Inverted 'Y' (spaghetti) steering linkage and the pitman arm has slop in the tie rod (taper is wrong). I thought I had a '77 pitman arm BUT do I really have a pre-'76 pitman? Is that why it is sloppy? If so, does anyone have one to sell? Thanks.

    air conditioning

I bought the Vintage Air unit and the install was a pain; however, that's because I decided to do some custom work and put the vents in my dash as opposed to under the dash b/c I think the plastic is hokie and would break easily. My dash looks fantastic and I think it will be worth it in the...

    digitsl gauge cluster

I've installed the Dakota Digital in '77 restoration project but I haven't had the joy of seeing it in action (not done with the restoration yet); however, the installation was easy but then again I'm going with the Centech harness and my whole dash was out. The separate 'brain box' is not that...

Why No Bronco Cross Drilled/Slotted Rotors?

Might as well chime in....everyone else is. I just spoke to Performance Friction (O.E. supplier for Porshe, BMW, etc) last week and they said slotted is the best choice when compared to drilled b/c they don't crack. Also, most people won't like drilled rotors b/c they actually cause noise...

4 wheel disc brake master cylinder

I posted a similar question a few weeks ago and someone suggested using the '68 or '69 Corvette MC , so I tried it -- LUCKY ME ! The MC is 1 1/8" bore , is 3/4 the height and was only $40+/- from Advance Auto Parts for a BRAND NEW MC with a Lifetime Warranty. NOTE: you do have to enlarge the...

Help-- PB Booster/MC Too High--Hits Hood

Yes, power assisted from a '68 Vette and with a little help from the dremel tool and adjustment of the rod....it will work great! This MC is lower than the stock and helps solve my low hood problem. There is another 1 1/8" bore MC from a Licoln Continental (I believe--- LARS has posted the...

Help-- PB Booster/MC Too High--Hits Hood

todcolvin, I got the '68 vett' MC like you suggested------it seems like it will work (much lower profile) but the holes don't seem to line up. Did you have to bore them out to get it to work? Anyone else out there have any suggestions. Thanks
