Thanks Hobe I was thinking that I might be able to weld the ball to the housing and be done with it but I don't want to create more problems down the road. Looking at it, the ball seem to be a way to seal the cast channel for the presseure side of the unit. Could it be removed and replaced...

hey Edge What application are your distributor and box out of? I just did the same thing with a dist. (new) out of a 77 Bronco and the box (new) from a 78 Granada, it was the only one in stock, and I can't get the damn thing to run worth a $hit. I'm usin a MSD coil btw. Ken
