68 U13 Bronco , 289 Badge
Probably one of the most rare broncos in existence, as far as from factory. 1968 is the last year that U13's were produced only 212 total. Of that 212 in that year, its estimated that half or so of them came from the factory badged with the 289 engine. Out of those 106ish that were made, its hard to tell how many are in existence. But very few are know of, only 19 exist in the national registry.
This is a rough bronco, with good bones. Its a project that needs to be restored to its original makings from the factory.
289, 3spd, and all the normal stuff. I dont know if the doors and top were a factory ordered option, but i would guess that they were.
Like the other one i have listed, if you dont really know the importance of this bronco, its probably not for you.

....I am going to add this to the first post as well......

****EDIT BELOW*****
Sorry for any of the slow/non replies. A couple things happened when i first posted these. I had them posted here and on Facebook marketplace, and honestly it was overwhelming the amount of PM's I recieved. The messages wernt just offers, but they were saying i was asking way too much, and also way too little. ALSO right at that same time, we had a family emergency, as well as me having to be out of town for a bit for work.

Ive thought on this for some time and decided to put these back up for sale. I think that putting them on EBAY would probably be the easiest way to sell these, that way a guy can just bid on them, plus save me a massive PITA of sifting through a bunch of messages of people who arent really serious.

SO, long of the short, I am going to be putting these u13s (AUG 1965 and 1968) up on EBAY in the next couple days. I will be checking back in here, and checking PM's as life is back to normal-ish now lol....

I hope you have that glove box door!

Oddly enough, this bronco was owned by a childhood friends dad 2 owners ago. The dad, had helped me with some automotive work back in the day, and I never knew he had owned a bronco..... I could almost guarantee he didn't know what the history of that 68 u13

Isn't the 6 cylinder 1968 U13 the one with the least amount produced?

Yes, that's what I've learned recently. There are a few guys that know the numbers better, but my understanding now is that the i6 was less than half of the 212 +/- made in 68 . Don't take me as stating fact lol

WOW a 289 with 4.11's.....
Please correct me if I'm wrong...A3 4.11 trac-lock rear 2780lb, 03 w/o trac lock, A5 4.11 trac-lock 3300 lb (big brakes in rear as well) 05 w/o trac-lock. Front ratio would be 4.10. If a letter after the number, the front would have trac-lock as well. For example later models w/ B8 2780 lb, posi rear 3.50's B8J, 2780 lb posi rear AND front. B9 3300 lb etc.
When Power steering came in B8 posi rear, B8J, posi w/power steering, B8Q P/S and front posi. B9/B9J/B9Q same except 3300 lb rear.
Wheww that said......
this glove box code looks like A5J..(??) 4.11/4.10 posi with the bigger rear end?
I know codes changed over the years,,,,I did own a '74 Bronco Sport. glove box code was B9Q F&R posi (both tags on the pumpkins had the "L") and it had P/S and 11" brakes, so 3300 lb

I don't get why U13's aren't worth more then wagons, it seems like wagons bring the most money! $9k doesn't seem ridiculous at all.
