AA Assembled Extreme Duty Output Dana 20 End Play

I did a quick search and didn't find too much on this, so I am wondering if others have used the AA extreme duty Dana 20 assembled output from Wild Horses and noticed a large amount of endplay on the assembly? I know that the endplay for the stock output is typically low single digits (if not a preload), and the atlas output, which is a similar design, endplay is 0.001"-0.0025". I was measuring around 0.027" endplay on the received assembled Dana 20 output. I am still waiting to hear back from AA on the acceptable range if any. Have others used this product and noticed or measured their output endplay?

you may have to adjust the shim pack with the change to new parts.

I think he bought the entire assembly assembled in one piece (including the housing) from Wildhorses. The assembled unit should have been set with the correct end play I would think?

Yes I bought the complete assembled output. You would think that it would have been set correct from the manufacturer, but 0.027" seems excessive.

I would agree, that is too much....
I would call and ask for Geno, he knows the most about the Bronco stuff.

I have the WH HD D-20 output kit and it specified a little preload. You tested with an inch pound bend beam torque wrench and shoot for 5 in/lb.

So did you get the pre-assembled unit and it already have the proper 5 in/lb preload in the as received condition?
