Is there anyway to help cool the 170 6 cylinder? I have new oversized radiator and 180 degree thermo installed. I does fine while driving normally...but in traffic, it gets too warm. Is there a shroud that can be used on the fan for the 6 cylinder?

Haven't seen one. Try to find a 5-6 blade for it, should help a bit. Hope you did a good block flush before installing the new radiator.

You can fabricate your own shroud (Bronco Driver magizine article) or modify a shroud from your local pic-a-part. I recently upgraded my 96 full size radiator, picked up a $15 shroud at the yard.
Maybe a 4cyl or 6cyl Ranger shroud or maybe from a car? Maybe ditch the mechanical fan and go all electric?
