The original bumpers on my 66 (front is curved on ends and rear is straight across) got bent over the years by prior owner and chrome is starting to peel. So I recently replaced them with new chrome 68+ style bumpers from Tom’s (before I discovered that the 66 shapes were different). Since the original 1966 bumpers are different, should I have the original bumpers’ bends straightened and then have the re-chromed to keep to the 66 style? Do the original bumpers have value even though they have some bends and peeling chrome if I decide to stick with the new 68+ style bumpers that were recently installed?

Asking what you should do with the bumpers is like asking what you should have for dinner. Do what you want to do. If you'd like to keep your Bronco original, have the bumpers restored. If you really don't care (you said you didn't notice) sell the '66 bumpers to someone who's doing a correct restoration. A set of '66 bumpers in rough shape can sell for $500+. Having them restored to like new by a good chrome shop (of which there are few left) will likely cost $1,000+. Often times, the dollar figures will help you make the decision that works best for you. There was recently a thread here about this. Let me see if I can find it.

This isn't the thread I was thinking of, but does have the link to the quality chrome shop the thread I was thinking of had.
