I found this cutie via CL and was lucky enough to be able to look at it first.

It came out of Ironton, MO, the original owner sold it to a gentlemen who drove it 90 miles up to St. Louis, put it in his nice shop, unbolted what you see here, and it sat. Since 2006.

Yesterday was the first time in daylight since then.

It needs floor pan work, pax side door post needs just a little love, rockers.

Its a 170, column shift, built March of 1966. I have been looking for a 6, so I am excited about this one.

I'll let the pics speak for themselves, they are from my Ipad. One really cool thing is I think its the original spare tire, mounted on the original rim, with the hub cap. I only have that one, its a BFG Silver Town tire. Very cool. It still had the 66 owner manual in the glove box.

For now the plan is to put it back together and drive it for the summer to the kids ball games, lowes, whatever. I have my 69 to do some stuff too. This winter it will get some work to it. It will stay a 6, get a cage and collapsable column, 4whl disc brakes, maybe someday a 5 speed if I do something for more power (turbo?). It will stay a column shift until then, I don't want to hack the tunnel for a three speed floor shift.

The gentlemen I got it from called the previous owner, who claims he bought it new with this roll bar, so I assume its a dealer installed bar, looks like maybe a truck light bar cut to fit?? The hard top is almost perfect, tailgate too, doors are just as good.

I thought some 66 junkies would enjoy seeing this, it came with everything he took off, its complete, just needs put back together.

I have a couple more pics to upload...

Nice find! have fun putting it together! Hopefully you find the love for stock early broncos, and don't feel compelled to mod it.

I'll get some more pics of it. I was up late tonight, prepped it and got it running pouring gas in the carb - fresh oil, battery, water. All the plugs looked great but they will get replaced, next step is to clean gas tank and replace fuel lines so I can let it run longer and see how she does. All the lights/gauges/etc seem to work so far. Radio turns on/lights up, but I had 2 spots on the dial that made a different sound but I couldn't tune in a station.

It was nice to hear it run
