hi all! looking to add door arm rests to my 67. the door panels do not have holes for the door arm rest however i believe it does have the provisions behind the door panel? see pic

seems like none of the vendors have the clips for the 66-67 arm rests? any members here have a pic of the clips so i can get visual as to that they look like so i can make something work. Also a pic of how they fasten to the door would be nice.

or better yet if someone has a set for sale to do both doors.

thanks in advance

I'm cheap and made my own. Just some aluminum bar approx 3/16 thick tapped for the screw. I secured them with 1/4-20 bolts through the original holes, into holes i also drilled and tapped into the aluminum. Cheap, easy and works fine. Thought I had a pic but couldn't find one. I made the straps first, then marked it through the hole in the arm rest. I then removed the strap, drilled it smaller than the screw and then reinstalled. The screw goes at an angle and will cut some threads on its own. Took me maybe an hour to do both sides, with my kids "helping". The second door went faster with less help......

Hi all!
Just gettimg around to installing the arm rests. Looking for some pics and measurements on the door panel itself of the factory holes for the armrests. Mine didn't originally come with any.
Thanks

If the door panels are factory, each one will have two small dimples where the holes need to be drilled.

Glad i asked! I must've smoothed them out when I did the bodywork - luckily the dimples are visible on the backside of the panels. Thank you for replying, You just save me a lot of cursing lol
