1972 Dash Board Dry Rotted

I have 72 Bronco and the sun has dried and cracked my padded dash. I got a plastic retro fit plastic cover but it is so thin and brittle and does not fit well near the windshield.. Get rid of any curled, nasty cracked material so the overlay sits flush. Once satisfied with it, coat both parts w Contact cement and stick them together.
