• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

I stopped into Monty's Auto Salvage on Eastside Ave. in Deer Lodge, Montana yesterday to inquire about used tires for my old F150 and asked if he had any EB's (for the sake of disclosure, I have never been there and am unaffilitated with the owner).

It so happened that he had a 1972 tucked away in back that he did not want to part out. I asked how much he needed to get and he said "$5,000-$6,000". I don't know if he is flexible on the price. He did show it to me from a distance and it looked quite straight. Brown with a white top. I noticed the side glass was missing on one side and the rear jump seat was not there but it looked to be in otherwise straight and solid condition. Surrounded by other vehicles and tall grass so I could not assess rust, if any. I'm sure there is some but, being in Montana, likely minimal. It is, I believe, manual on the column with 302 and he indicated "power steering with only about 70,000 on the clock". I did not confirm any of this but thought I'd put it out there for anyone looking for one. I don't have a phone number so anyone interested would need to Google it. The owner was a bit of a cantankerous old boy but more bark than bite! ;D

Good luck!

Monty is an idiot ... don't even consider doing business with him . I first saw that Bronco in 1998 & it was a pos then . Everything he's got is worth a fortune ... in his mind . He's typical psyco junk yarder that for some reason doesn't want to sell his junk ... but if you're willing to pay 20x what it's worth .. then maybe ... if he doesn't short circuit & say no just cause he can . %)

Steve,

Thanks for the input. As I said, I'm not farmiliar with the guy but won't be buying used tires from him based on my one interaction so you are probably completely correct in your assessment.

He showed me the Bronco and I thought I'd pass the info on. I don't know if he'd sell it or if it is worth the asking price but it's there for anyone interested in pursuing it further. ;)
