1973 Baja Bronco by Stroppe. Standard phase 1 Baja Bronco with dual shocks, US Indy wheels(the originals), Rubberized steering wheel, trailer hitch, padded rollbar, bumper braces, Baja decals and tire cover, Chrome Cactus smasher with no light bar tabs. Ford PS and AT. Ford window sticker, Dealer sales reciept, Dealer finance receipt, Owner Warranty Card, Oil spec sheet, Warranty sheet, original blue and yellow CA plates, and dealer license plate frames front and rear. Remarkably original and presentable. Just out of 5 year storage and ready to use. 134k miles. Perhaps one of the finest original unrestored/unrepaired/unmodified Baja Broncos in existence. Andrew 408 515 5615.

Okay, I must amend one spot in the ad- "ready for use". Turns out it will need some maintenance before use- water pump, tstat, maybe brake hydraulics. I just rebuilt the carburetor upon picking it up. Its available as-is or with all mechanical issues relating to the storage addressed. It currently runs drives and steers and stops well for local use/ test drive purposes. Trans shifts firmly and 4x4 works. Tracks nicely at 60mph too.

On the price, I'm open to serious offers once I get pics up. I have some Las-found pict I will post as soon as I'm home... I'm up in WA getting it lined up for a ride home.
interesting notes on this Baja: had a cb with dual antennas which are still mounted to quarters. Stroppe decal on original rollbar foam in the center of main bar facing forward...not on back bars. Stroppe rocker protectors and blue/white/red Baja decals just like Mark from WH truck which is from the
same production run of Bajas, late April. Roof is in exceptional shape with nice paint, no dents or dings and still has the original headliner intact. All the brightwork on this truck is shiney- not oxidated. It appears to have never hit anything or been bumped; the bumpers are arrow straight and there has been no paintwork ever done. Very little rust - floors are nice, not through.

Pics to come soon, I have general as found shots and close ups of decals, paintstamps, details.

thanks, I will post them probably day after tomorrow. I got a call from the owner. He called a few places..... Just like when many of us do when trying to find a disc brake kit or door weatherstripping. The amount of time and money I put into chasing leads(which some are a lost cause), is crazier than most would want to put forth....which is why I can't keep them all. I actually am thinkingof selling my nice 71 Baja that won at FFF so I can finish my 4-speed Baja and find more for us all to enjoy; looking or owning.

Kinda makes me wish I was looking for one.....maybe I could justify it as a "work truck" and sneak it past my accountant......

Here are some photos of the Baja fresh out of the storage unit. It is available as-is for another week or two, but then I"ll begin with a water pump/timing chain, brake cylinders, steam cleaning, detailing, and other items that make a solid daily driver out of it. Andrew 408 515 5615

One last photo for now: This is a pile of the documents that come with it. The blue notebook is full of mileages between fillups. There are about 40k miles of the 135k missing. Also included is a fire-road/offhighway map from the mid 70s of the area the Bronco lived in. This no doubt spent it's life in the glovebox.

Best thread I've seen in a while! How long have you known about this one prior to it's "discovery"? Any more history to share? I think I'll give you a call.

Well, I had heard it existed in it's "home" area back before the most previous owner bought it....and I wondered where it went. I'd never seen it, but 2 or 3 had reported it's whereabouts and elderly owner at the time. So it's been on the radar before, but lost the past 8-10 years or so.

It's a nice truck. It looks like I will also be offering my 71 Baja 500 veteran "trailer Baja" soon, and if it sells and this one doesn't I wont mind holding onto it!
